This Texas Red Dirt Country Crooner is putting smiles on faces and have toes tapping to her music. She truly has what it takes to bring the house down and getting you on the dance floor. Showcasing her powerhouse vocals along with her original songs have certainly gained the attention of fans and venues.
She has been dubbed with the slogan "Country music with attitude" and she wears it well. Don't let the boots and cowboy hat fool you, she may be country but she has that southern rock and blues running through her veins! Early in her career Austin Mayor Adler declared March 28th as Janie Balderas Day at City Hall followed by a live concert by Janie and her band in downtown Austin. She was featured in Southern Music Scene Magazine and performed on Good Day Austin, Songwriters Across Texas television show, Balcony TV to name a few. She also had the opportunity to perform at American Pickers in Nashville while she attended the Josie Music Awards at Nissan Stadium.
She has been invited to sing the National Anthem and God Bless America for PBR, NASCAR, Rodeos, Concerts, MLB, and Special Events. May of 2021 she released her single “Busted” which charted on the Texas Country Music Charts in the Top 10 for TIRC and Top 50 TCMC and will be releasing her next single to radio in the summer of 2022.
Making her way in the Texas Music Scene she’s smoking up highways sharing her music, gaining fans and captivating hearts. She's opened for American Idol Jake Worthington and Waterloo Revival to name a couple and have also shared the stage with some amazing artists! Her energy and vocals on stage are captivating and a few times have had standing ovations so whether she plays for a few or a thousand people she performs every show the same.
Balderas is a 4x Josie Music Award Nominee for Country Female Vocalist of the Year and Songwriter Achievement and recently her song “Whiskey and Jesus” has been nominated for Single of the year. She was a nominee for Country Rising Star of the year and she is humble for the nominations, her band was also nominated for Best Band of Hays County in 2021. She was the Top 20 and Semi finalist for the Texas Music Pickers Songwriter Competition in 2017. Balderas was honored to be on the team roster for the Celebrity Softball Classic in Arlington, Texas in which all proceeds go towards 2 great causes, this is definitely the philanthropy part of her heart in which she is honored to give back.
